About Health Corr., LLC

Headquartered in Picayune, MS, HEALTH CORR was founded in 2017 by Registered Nurse, Board Certified Correctional Healthcare Professional RN and former hospital CEO Mark Stockstill. HEALTH CORR is dedicated to our mission of providing high quality, cost-effective health and mental health care to incarcerated people in a non-judgmental fashion thereby inspiring them to break free of the strongholds of addiction, abuse and brokenness.

Guiding Principles

Keep God first in all decision making
Provide highly competent staffing and a call schedule that ensures inmates have access to professional care providers 24 hours per day 7 days per week.
Approach delivery of health and mental care with a proactive stance by continually seeking effective tools to improve delivery of correctional healthcare while reducing costs and liability.
Work with jail administration to reduce ancillary and outside professional services costs.
Utilize the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) standards in the administration and delivery of health and mental health care to inmates.
Actively work with medical professionals and jail administration to conduct continuous quality assurance/performance improvement and utilization management.
Work with jail administration to reduce or eliminate legal risk.
Institute programs that inspire inmates to:
1. Lead healthier lives.
2. Develop a core belief in themselves.
3. Develop a lasting sense of self-worth.
4. Choose to enhance quality of life during and post-incarceration.

Quality, Competency and Compassion

Our policies and procedures are adapted to the specific needs each county and modeled on the National Commission on Correctional Health Care ("NCCHC") standards along with Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) and Federal Bureau of Prisons guidelines. Health Corr is also familiar with and follows regulations of the MS Department of Public Safety Juvenile Detention Standards, United States Marshall's Service and Mississippi Department of Mental Health as they apply to management of mental health inmate patients and civil commitment patients.

HEALTH CORR constantly measures, assesses, and improves the efficiency and level of care being provided. We utilize metrics to qualitatively and quantitatively improve care, reduce costs and mitigate risk. Our leadership staff regularly audits and reviews processes and implements controls to ensure high quality, reduced risk and proper utilization of resources. We adhere to the philosophy that Health Corr and Jail staff are partners and mutually accountable to the taxpayers.

Transparency is key to being a good steward of county resources. Health Corr and Jail administration meets regularly to discuss utilization, client satisfaction, performance metrics, and other pertinent information.

We believe by putting appropriate medical and mental health resources into jails; allowing our physicians, nurses and healthcare professionals to use the skills and experience they have gained and providing a “lead from the front” philosophy we will be able to decrease the overall costs of inmate health care, improve clinical outcomes and reduce the incidence of grievances and lawsuits.
